To be honest I am getting tired of seeing all these promotion forums, if you truly cant stand out don't bother because people will just stick to using ForumPromoton like usual. Good luck

I agree. It's just not worth it to try to come out with anymore promotion forums. Find one project that you're passionate about and stick with that project. Honestly, nothing aggravates me more than an administrator who starts one project after another and doesn't even stick with one project, but tries to run five or six at the same time. Read my lips: It's not worth it!

Yes its very annoying to watch and also none of the forums succeed as they cant stick to one for long.

Yeah, but FP has been around for almost four years. The only thing that makes them so unique above other promotion sites is that they've been up longer. 2009-2010 was a big year for promotion forums, and there were a lot of those out. You really need to be creative and come out with a unique idea in the advertisement department. Sure, there are still ways to come out on top and be unique, it's just that with some forums that have been around longer (like FP) you have to look at the fine line of what they've done and try to top that somehow. 4 years down the road and already they're still coming out with new ideas, new ways to spend their points, etc. This is a very tricky niche. Trust me, I have tried coming out with my own promotion forum before, and even when I tried it, it was downright hard to be unique because half of the stuff I came up with just about everyone else was already doing it or already having it in their plans.

To put it simply, and I don't mean to be rude, but really, with so many successful sites like Forum Promotion around, new promotion forums don't really stand a chance, and many of them will be lucky to even see their one month anniversary, never mind the one year mark.

Well, that might not be true, because I did assist, as did you help, at one that lasted about 6 months before it's demise. It depends if the admins/owners of the new one has the time & energy to keep it running, etc.

I see your point. I guess I shouldn't say that they all don't have a potential of succeeding, but really, trying to do five or six things at once is still asking too much. Some people are more mature about it than others are. Ash, I remember you being a good example of this. When you had AF, I think you were also running EA (or was it EH by then?) on the side, and despite the crazy things going on on the general discussion forum, you really handled it well. It does all boil down to dedication and seeking out those who are willing to help in the long run. I will, however, warn about opening one forum after another in such a short space of time: I used to be terrible with this, and every time I came out with another project, people would litterally hit the ceiling when they found out I was trying a forum yet again. So really it's best to stick with one project. In fact, at one point my opening and closing stage got so bad I actually had people asking me how many forums I had going!

At the time of running both, plus a host, I had like all day free, where as now I do not, and my interests have changed as I have no intentions to start a forum of my own again or help run/post on advertisement forums, unless it is to benefit PH because 6 hours on-line time a day is not enough.

I'm not any better. My health problems aren't going away any time soon, and I have a part-time job, so even I'm not on as much as I'd like to be. Even I was on a lot more back then because I didn't have half as much going on as I do now.

I feel that there is probably far too many promotion forums now to be honest and they all seem to copy cat on another in the end rather than add in their own new idea's. If a new promotion forum came out with a whole new idea it would make a great change.
