Are they a free host or a paid? If it was free then I can see why they would be bad, as most free hosts are alike in this respect.

They are a paid host, owned by some big corporation that likes to swallow up smaller companies, etc.

I'm hosted with USHost247. Couldn't be happier. I haven't had any problems except for minimal downtime and have been with them for many months.

Yep - He is. I have both Shared Hosting and Reseller and I don't know how many times I've asked for Support etc. but he's always been happy to help.

For hosting I use hostgator, I had chose it because my friend gave me one of his coupons. I have had a few problems with it, nothing major though. I may end up moving to a different host on a VPS.

Their support sucks, they dont even have cPanel, just their own custom panel. And my forum is very small and it loads very slow.

I would move right before your forum grows. They are very trigger happy and limit your resources, once you pass it most likely you will be suspended.

Oofda, sounds like an all more good excuse to find a better host ASAP. I would, anyway. Especially when it's a host that claims to be advanced hosting but really they aren't. That sounds more like a classic case of cheap selling, to be honest.

They oversell, and their support is pure crap. I used to host with them.

Haha I know right? It happened to so many people. Hostgator is not the way to go. Most people get fooled by their discounts and fake reviews.

They got too big for their own good. Not enough support, better yet, their support is crap.

Isn't HostGator the one that causes random problems? Or is that Cirtex I'm thinking of?

I just remember there was a host that a former friend of mine had where they would go totally berserk if you used up your CPU limits, and if I remember right they were suspend/terminate happy if you used up your limits. I could be wrong though.
