What's Your Favourite Method of Monetization?

Here's one for you.

What is your favourite method of monetization on your forum?

It could be the ease of implementing this strategy. How much money it makes you. It's totally up to you.

My favourite has to be adsense. With some great optimization and decent daily traffic it can produce a nice check at the end of the month. Also it is very easy to implement into your forum. Selling ad space came in at a close second.

What about you guys?

 

Selling adspace, teenagers tend to see google adsense all over the place and seem to avoid them completely whilst they seem to click ones that arent from Adsense. I enjoy the whole marketing side of it, emailing pricing lists and such.

 

I have to say my new favorite is eBay Partner Network. I'm making more per month with it than I am AdSense and it gets far fewer impressions.

YMMV but it seems to work in my niche.

 

My favorite would be any successful affiliate market.

 

Private advertisers. Not only from a monetary standpoint, which you make a helluva a lot more then throwing up adsense. You also get a chance to build relationships with people in your industry.

 

I'm just trying to get to that point. I feel I'm almost at the point where I can solicit some advertisers. Once I change my SW to IBP and get comfortable with that I probably will.

 

That is the beauty of private advertisers. Any size forum can do that.

If you have a local sports store, then they might be ecstatic to get online advertising for an relatively inexpensive price. Advertising is extremely expensive for them in the local yellow pages & newspapers.

 

My first priority goes to Google adsense and then secondly its adbrite. Those are the best ways that i prefer to monetize my websites.

my all time most favorite method is affiliate marketing...
It just awesome... Quite simple and easy and best option for newbies....

 

I love using adsense.
But considering to approach people for private advertising, will someone tell me how to do that though ?
