I've got a member showing up all of a sudden with an astrix (*) by his name in the bottom current logged on member box. I've check the member list and there doesn't seem to be a double of this person minus the astrix.

    Thanks,

If you are admin, it means that the person is appearing invisible. For admins and Super moderators[and if you have it enabled for moderators] you can see the people who are invisible on your board. Regular members do not see the users with the asterisks.

xD From what I know of anyways, I might be wrong.

    Pretty much what FMB said.

I used invisible mode on all sites that I don't work on or own.

(This is your vB forum, right?) Yes, * indicates invisibility and + means they're on your friends list.

    Sorry, yes I'm using vB.

    Thanks people,

I started a small promotion today and I noticed this astrix on this person's name about half way through the day.

On a forum like yours it would be neat to change the phrasing and refer to it as using camouflage. :)

How do I set myself up as invisible on vBulletin 4 to everyone, including all staff?

    Thank you.

    You can't.

If a usergroup has permission to see invisible users, than they will see you.
