What colour(s) do you chose when marking up the usernames of your forum staff?

Most forum's use red, but I don't like it as it's very negative. They most likely choose red to symbolise power.

So, what do you use and why?

Personally for me, I do like to use Blue as it is my favorite color.

For my staff my mods are baby blue and the Admins are green/red.

But on most forum softwarwes, isn't the default admin color usually already red?
I know with SMF it was red and i believe IPB.

In most forum software's, all the usergroup colours are the same ;)

The issue is that yellow doesn't display on many monitors/screens.

    I normally use Blue - I like it ;)

Most use Red because it attracts attention. It tells people that the members - mods/admins are different from regular members.

Blue is the safe color to go with. It symbolizes friendliness. Green, again, is safe, and symbolizes growth.

Have you considered Yellow? Yellow symbolizes energy and if your staff members are friendly, it might be a good choice. Or maybe a golden-ish shade of yellow?

Or Purple? Purple is sort of an exotic color and will highlight the titles well. But it will go well only if you have a light-themed skin.

Lol! I just suggested you half the color palette! Lol! :D

I like to use the color blue, because it's my favorite color. Lol
Not but really, since blue is a color of Friendliness, and I hire admins who are friendly.

Normally leave the colours on default which is normally red, only change them when it suits the style.

The color red is for my administrators, gold is for supporters and green is for moderators.
I don't see a problem with the color red as I've been using it for years and users like it.

This is how I have mine setup:
Red for admins, green for moderators, silver for banned users, purple for long-term registered members and black for normal members.

I would love to have shades of blue for my management staff. but as I do not have any, I am happy with the one provided by default for the Admin - Red. I use phpBB3.

I just stick with what I now consider the default; Red for Admin, Green for Moderator. It's sort of universal so a lot of people are familiar with it and can tell between members and staff just by color alone.

On my forum I also have Purple for our Community Representatives, Orange for our subscribers, Blue for our Registered Members, and Black with a strike-through for banned members. All bold to help stand out more.

Well for MyBB, red is for admins, and purple is for moderators and white/grey is for members.
But I decided to change them to:
    Red: Admin
Orange: Super Mod (Because Orange is close to red? And Admin is close to SuperMod :P?)
    Blue: Mod
    Member: White
    Awaiting Activation: Grey

I just use red for admins, green for moderators and no colour for just about anyone else. Works for me.

I don't know if I said I don't like red - I believe it is too 'harsh'. It makes people feel scared to approach you :)

Also, it doesn't go with colour schemes most of the time...
