What are some of the user titles you use? I'm trying to come up with some better than the ones we currently have.

Feel free to post yours here.

    Hmmm...

Newcomer, Adept, Professional, Addict, Zealot, Guru

In the past I have used:
Mercenary, Private, Squad Leader, Lieutenant, Captain, Marshall, Commander (for a guild website)

Aspirant, Harbinger, Treemaster, Hierophant, High Druid (another guild website)

I like those, Wayne. Especially the first set for AA.

To add to that one, Nick, maybe throw in Grand Master, Novice, Champion...

Here's a little mix: Newcomer, Novice, Addict, Adept, Champion, Grand Master, Zealot, Guru?
    How about it?

Okay, now how about applying some post-count values to these suckers?

    Here's what I'd use:

    • Lurker - 0
    • Newcomer - 1
    • Novice - 25
    • Addict - 50
    • Adept - 100
    • Champion - 250
    • Grand Master - 500
    • Zealot - 1000
    • Guru - 5000
    • Addicted Addict - 10000
I added one to the beginning and one to the end. Thoughts?

Those look pretty good, I think; definitely better than the current ones.

As far as RCTgo goes, I have the following:

    • First Time Guest - 0
    • Park Guest - 30
    • Frequent Visitor - 75
    • Season Pass Holder - 150
    • Park Fanatic - 300
    • RCTgo Fanatic - 500

I've been thinking about revising them slightly, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Definitely willing to take suggestions, if anyone has any ideas!

I like these a lot actually.

I have never really used 'user titles' I have always had the members come up with their own. But I do you badges for certain things like people who donate.

I love those user titles and post count requirements as well. I particularly like "Addicted Addict" - funny stuff. :) And not to throw this thread off-topic, but Kevin, I noticed that you're located in Boston. Great to see someone from the area on here!

I leave my forums at the defaults then let everyone have custom titles.

A lot of the time this is simply the best way to do user titles.

I usually have set titles as well as allow custom titles.

I'd be keen to hear some suggestions for a parenting site. I have been thinking along the lines of stages of life:

    Baby
    Toddler
    Child
    Tween
    Teenager
    Adult
    Retired

Then i could use Dead for those no longer on the site or banned :P

I wouldn't do this. There will always be some user who takes those titles literally and treats people accordingly. You might find yourself doing a lot of explaining.
