We'll be starting a 3 month posting contest soon!

I want those points, I might be interested in this contest. I just need to make sure I'll have enough time to dedicate to these forums, and still be able to make quality posts on my own forum.

 

There will be several ways to acquire points

Are the ATxP: the points? I never noticed them before.

I read the posts in the thread an I thought I give another person's feedback. I really like the Postloop idea, I think lots of forum owners would love to join the contest in order to get some posts in their own forums.
The PS Vita is also another great thing for a contest. The good thing about that is it will attract other types of people as well, not only forum owners. Not something I would be interested in but I do have many friends that would love to get one.

Seems like it is going to be a great contest. I might join if I get the time.

 

Well, I'd recommend you try to set aside 20 minutes a day for this contest, it can really help your community, and the prizes are great!

 

we're still tossing around a few names for the "points"

 

We may push this back until the 2nd week in July...
I want to make sure we're ready to smash the stats from the start.
a few things are needed still

• formatting the contest thread
• setting up a newsletter to send out
• putting together a press release
• I want to get a blog post up
• Also there are a few updates to the points mod we're using that I'd like to use

 

Hopefully we can get it out the first week though. We have the power of the web behind us, and bloggers will probably come out of hiding and link to the contest.

 

To be honest, I've had better luck with the first or the middle of the month.
