we seem to be getting a lot of "hi I'm new" topics. Maybe we should make a welcome forum for things like that and all new stuff questions about how things work and things.

I was about to suggest the same thing as litaz. I do belong to another forum which contains a welcome area. It seems to make the members feel like they are really a part of the forum. Makes the new members feel warm and fuzzy when they are greeted by the regular members. Also gives a chance for the older members to feel they are contributing, by making the newbies feel welcome and answering questions they may have.

I think it'd be better if it were above Advice, so it was the first forum newbies saw when they came on.

As it is now, they may not notice it until they've posted their questions to other forums.
