They redesigned the ADMIN CP!? Hopefully this is just a design rewrite, because otherwise, forget a secure backend - it's going to break at some point to the point of the entire site crashing. And look at how many #@^&ing alpha versions there were!

The only thing I like about the new ACP, is the top navigation, where the Admin Home/Home Page tab is. Mostly because you can go back to the ACP via the same window, and in the same actual frame without the whole thing scrolling down. You can also reach your messages without going to forumhome. Nice. Very noooice.

It also looks like editing common templates are a real snap and go...

The current ACP is so easy to use. This one better fall suit with the old one. I just checked my email and saw this. Thanks for posting it @fattony69

Thanks for the screenshots @fattony69, I wonder why I'm not getting these emails even though @LawrenceCole has my correct email..

PS... I piratically like the search option in the admincp, this was a big thing that was missing comparing IPB and vB4 IMO.

Those are options that I could use now when updating my site.

Thanks for sharing the pictures! The more I see pictures, the more VB5 starts to look like VB4 to me. I still love all the design and features it offers.

ACP looks the same to me features and option wise. Just some different colours.

I'm not getting those emails either, but I did unsubscribe from their emails when Lawrence was sending out those marketing emails.

Looks different to me though. Obviously they might come out with a new layout with this one. I'm expecting that. But, the new "Post a url/video" feature is pretty nice. I'm sure a lot of people may be pleased by that. And also, the performance increases that they're talking about. That would also be good.

Hopefully it will be a good price upgrading from VB4 to 5

Probably not since they offer no discount to upgrade a VB3 license to VB4 now.. So I doubt they will give much of one if they do... They seem to make it like every version is a new product
