Today I posted a thread at another forum and got a response from Sanjay; the guy from CrowdGather. Originally I PMed him, but I got a fairly good response. One that I'm confident about.

I just had a question - is there anything I should be aware of? As far as... having the communities put into CG's hands? And will they do good things with the site?

I'm afraid that I don't understand your post. Are there 2 more sites possibly being sold to Crowdgather? If so, which ones?

If not, then what are you talking about? lol

I took his post as seeing if anyone had some insight into CG in general, ergo had no input.

    Haha, yes it is, Peg.

I was saying that two communities of mine may be handed over to CG, and I was wondering if I should be aware of anything, will they do good things with the community, etc.

    Just as a data point...

I've done some contract work for them. Found them easy to work with and they paid on time.

I was also an admin and still am a moderator on another site they acquired. Runs well, no real issues. Nothing to complain about.

How much do they even offer? Everyone's all hush hush about it.

I don't know what all they fun, but they seem to have a lot of internet property built up.

Why not visit their web site, see if you can find the communities they own and how they're doing and what they members think of the ownership.

One thing I do know is that they put a hideous wordpress front end on to every site...

Boss, I would tell you if I could. Sanjay and me didn't get that deep just yet.

    Good suggestion, David.

Tom, thanks for the info. Anyone who I've asked just says it was a great deal. That leaves me wondering about it for hours.

One thing I would for sure not do, is get into any specific details (even in this "hidden" forum) before deals are finalized as you can potentially ruin your chances at a purchase quite easily.

With just about any online website sale, just make sure you've got everything in order to go smoothly. I don't think you've gotta worry about Sanjay ripping you off, or scamming you but just use common sense when working with them.

That's why we have pm's. Good idea to fish for the information publicly and net it in privately.
