Keep up the great work. You're turning that community into a content giant real fast. Nice work!

Thank you, it does take a lot of work and it's already being an investment, but I love how it works and believe there's a future to it.

Here are 2 more articles I think would be useful to forum admins:

Forum Admin: How to BUY a forum
    How to sell a forum

So, both buyers and sellers should be now better prepared for the deals :)

How much time does it take you to write a new article? You sure have a lot of them, excellent!

    Thank you ;)
The 'how to sell a forum' article was written in 30 minutes I think, as I was waiting for a new BlogWorld presentation to begin. My problem is that I am pretty lazy most of the time, I can whip out articles in 20-30 minutes, but it's harder to get myself into a writing mood :D

Shhhhh!!!! If someone mentions wanting to hire you, never tell them that it only took you half an hour to pump out something they found amazing, hehe.

And your site is really looking good. I'm not posting much there right now obviously, but I'm still stopping by and reading!

Well, you're always welcome there, when you have few minutes. I have really enjoyed your posts, you're a member worth fighting for :)

I have tweaked the layout a little more (mainly the header). We have a new logo, that's now part of the branding (it already appears on business cards and t-shirts) and I've also played some more with the header. Wanted it to be very simple and light, hope I was able to achieve that. You can check all out at www.topadmin.net.

We passed our 10K posts milestone days ago. It means we're 'clocking' around 2K posts/month (roughly 60/day). I am very pleased with this and we have some super dedicated members who have helped us A LOT. I have also released a free MyBB skin.

And there's a new article I'd like to propose for reading: Do not promote your forum. Promote yourself

Content writing tips: how to create great articles
Since we're all content creators in the end, even as bloggers/forum admins or whatever name we have, quality content is the way to win over visitors and members. These are few ideas to make our writing more 'personal' and entice our readers to come back for more.

Hi Dojo, I think I remember the name from TAZ, loving the site. Very clean, fast and informative.
Look forward to spending some time there.

How did your contests go? Did you track the number of posts and new members that it managed to drive in?

Just let me know, I'm always up for a nice design :)

Updates: we finished a contest and have passed 7 months already. I am sad to see that most admin forums that started when we did are no longer active, which is sad, since some of them were really great. I'll make sure this won't happen to us.

Don't know, there were at least 3-4 that were either starting out or had 2-3 months under their belt. I removed them from my bookmarks months ago, can't remember their name. All were adminsomething :D

Stripped down the index more. I start liking more a category listing than all those tables with stuff. It reduced our loading times a bit too. We have a new article I just posted: How to run a SUCCESSFUL post exchange campaign for your forums

Other than that .. working our way up to 20k posts and whatever the end of the year will bring us :)

Kudos on the site, Top Admin's a great forum! Maybe needs a few more people there to stop it feeling like it's the same few individuals talking over and over, but the community's good and maybe this topic will bring you some more people.
