Thread or Topic?

Which one do you think is more significant for naming a discussion, Thread or Topic?

    I like using the thread title, but topic seems more fitting depending on what the thread is all about.

    I randomly switch between the two, though I got started on a forum that used threads.
    Topic is more relevant in my opinion, but I'm used to saying thread.

    I have found myself using topic more now after creating this discussion although I use thread even more since im used to it.

    I'm used to "Thread" and orefer "Thread" so I'm pretty easy.
    Even if I do think "Topic" is more reasonable...
