Thinking about adding a link directory

I've had a lot of success with my link directories in the past, I'm thinking about adding one to this URL as well.
Maybe general-forums.com/directory/
or
directory.general-forums.com
or maybe it's own URL like
General-directory.com or something similar if that one is taken.

My question to you guys, would you add your sites to the directory?
do you think directories are dead?

 

This isn't a webmaster forum, I dont think a link directory is at all needed.

 

I kind of agree with Mikey on the other hand it would be a nice extra feature for those members that are webmasters.

Perhaps something that integrates with vB so you don't have to manage two systems and can assign UG permissions.

 

I know phpLD has a mod that will allow integration, but I also like the idea of the directory having it's own URL in case I wanted to sell it.
Something to think over still.

 

I would gladly add links to all four of my sites.

I'll even add links to some of my friends' sites

 

I think I will go with a directory again, but I'm going to put it on it's own domain.
Now I have to think of a good domain..lol
