As we have some experienced admins on here I would like to ask a question if I may.

Does anyone know who actually enforces the Digital Millennium Copyright Act?

Who would I contact to send in an abuse report relevant to a breach of the safe harbour rules section "B" Where an admin has been informed of violations against the act, but refuses to remove the copyright property in a timely manner, thereby putting himself outside the safe harbour protection.

Would the attorney general in the admins area, be the one to contact?

    Any information would be appreciated.

My guess would be the AG where the server is physically hosted.

    Just a guess though.

I've had a few issues of this nature and simply contacted the server TOS advising of copyright infringement. With some proof I held the copyright the graphic or content, it was removed and the offender reprimanded.

Thanks. It is not as simple as we would like. the host has been advised, but as the offending admin is a staff member on VB who are working in with the host, then they refuse to do the ethical thing. URLJET in fact will not enforce their own TOS.
They may even lose their safe harbour protection as well. We will see.

I have sent in a report to the AG whose jurisdiction URLJET comes under.

The last reply contained a notice at the bottom saying the contents were confidential so I cannot talk about the reply. ( One does not mess with instructions from an AG)

I received a very nice and supportive reply from the AG previously and I have sent them an answer with more information.
Hopefully the safe harbour protection for the two organizations involved will be reviewed.

Bugger. I think it is still Sunday in the US, so they may not receive it until tomorrow.
