Now see, that's just absurd - immaturity at its finest.

Yes! And he's 23 I think? He was a pain, but since I've been in charge I haven't had mods resigning, I must be doing something good, no?

It depends on the intentions. If they are leaving in a fluster and only want to cause trouble and incite "fighting" by making a public resignation, then I would remove their thread.

Otherwise, and if they let me know first, then I wouldn't mind. If it was a legitimate, "I am experiencing health issues and have to leave"-type message, then I would allow it. I don't see any reason not to.

LOL I have a moderator that resigned (privately) at least 5 months ago and she's still in the moderator usergroup, listed on the forum leaders page and everything. Thanks for the reminder; let me go fix that right now.

Exactly, Nick. It's a matter of how the "resignation" is presented and for what reason he/she did so.

I've never had a staff member leave me, I hope I don't. As for members, I usually say that I'm saddened and hope they make a comeback one day.

Eh, it's no big deal so I didn't really rush to take her off. I did the same with another moderator that resigned earlier.

See (she resigned sometime around January):

I don't have a problem with that too much; I don't think that anybody has quit because they felt "wronged" or anything. Even the people who have been removed from their duties have been mostly civil, thankfully.
