Smilies in sig

Why not make a feature to be able to have smilies in your signature? I think it'd be cool...for me anyway. I'd probably be the only one to do it, but whatever....

I triedt it in test forum, and at first it didn't work. When I edited the post, it showed up.

What do you mean a pic? I see the thing just fine.

I'm kinda confused. Are you saying we are able to do it and it's not working properly, or that we're not supposed to be doing it and it's showing up. (cuz I did take it off cuz it looked like that's what you said for me to do in Announcements)

Yeah, I did want you to take it off because it won't show anyway under normal circumstances.

It's also not supposed to show when you edit your message and resubmit, but it is.. It's not a big deal since noone is going to edit their message every time so some icon can show up unless they have no life. .

I'll try to fix it.

when you create a message, it appends the sig as a sig after you submit

when you edit, on the other hand, the sig appears as normal text, part of the message. then when it gets resubmitted, it searches the whole thing for code suitable for smileys. it replaces "l.o.l." with ., etc, because it's not added afterwards.

anyway, that's my take on it, but i think smileys should be allowed in sigs anyway.

regardless, you can use the ubb img code to put in the smiley with the url

Yeah, thanks MJ, was gonna come here sometime and put that, but I forgot to....
Realized that that's what happened like the second time too, but oh well!

I agree it should be allowed too! That' be cool. And you could make it so only 1 or 2 are allowed in the sig, and maybe only non-animated ones. That'd help, and it'd be neato!

ubb code is allowed in sigs. just find the image url and put it between [ img ] and [ /img ] without spaces between brackets and img

While this feature is available, it is disabled. We do not allow images within signatures. Only other ubb codes are enabled at this time.
