Yes, it is. Looks better than SMF's current one but still looks ugly.

wow, isn't the color scheme familiar? (it could just be my lack of graphic knowledge so ignore)

I do like the look of it.

Hideous, and I thought vBulletin had horrible designers.

Well it's better than the current one (obviously, would be almost impossible not to be) but I still don't like it.

So what does a nice forum look like? It's really a matter of taste, ain't it? For instance, I think this (adminaddict.net) theme looks very 90's. Well, it sure looks better than the old SMF Core theme.
In the end we are also looking on what's in the theme. "Does it look like the software I love and use so much?"

etc. ain't gonna do it. Specify, please.

MyBB, phpBB, IPB. Pick and chose, +3 reasons why I would never look @ SMF.

AA's look was(is?) going to be changed, but idk what happened.

Just looks like they have a problem with color, picking a scheme that is.

Ok, so you are just not going to use it, that's fine. But I was asking to the theme, not if you liked SMF or not.

The markup and the ease to customise it is certainly a massive step up over old fashioned table based layouts. Took me less than half an hour* to do a quick hackup job to get it looking like my old SMF babylon / classic based theme.

*Link in my sig is based of off the new default theme with minimal html markup changes.

I agree with that, the only part I find a little ugly is the header the rest looks alright to me.

Well, fortunately the theme is easy to modify. Some people have said that the theme is using to fainted colors. I tend to agree. But as said, it's very easy to customize.
IPB looks very nice to me, but many other forums looks to much Win98. Like this forum.

It does look better than the old default theme.

However I am sticking with Version 1.1.10 and use the Babylon theme since the default is now a mess.

What was done in that picture I could do with my eyes closed and in less than 1 hour.

What I don't like about IPB is that is so damned big on my screen, looks like it will bite me.

    :P

As in you don't like what? SMF 2 will be without Babylon and Yabb, but they will be downloadable as mods to SMF 2.

With RTL support and everything like graphics? I'm not a .css coder, but that sounds pretty fast to me :p
