Would you guys like to see a Repudiation System added here on AdminBB? Or is the Likes system enough? There was one recently released as a mod, you guys can read it here. So let me know what you guys think :)

    Thanks.

Rep system only works when there are thousands of people online to distribute evenly. Likes is fine for now.

I think it would be good advantage to see which users are reputable, and which ones are not regarding exchanges & marketplace items, etc. but it would have to be checked for abuse, etc.

Yea I was thinking it that. I am planning to add it, just waiting to see what others might think about it.

A reputation feature would be cool. Just set some guidelines such as no rep exchanges and more stuff.

I think it would be a good addition. Any forum that has a section for members to buy, sell, or trade anything needs a reputation system. Likes are one thing but they usually tell you how popular somebody is, not how "legit" or "trustworthy" they are to do business with. I don't know anything about that XF mod myself...but in general, if you can find a good reputation mod, go for it.

You must have forgotten the Like system is a reputation system just without the '-'. So adding this will just be adding a reputation system ontop of a similar system. So if your going to add this mind as well remove the Likes.

The way I see it is that the like system is used if you like a post, so a person could post a hundred times, and get 100 likes, etc. but the user may have a bad reputation for selling/exchanging things and that's where the rep system could come into play so you would know if the user is a good seller/exchanger or not.

There's a distinct difference. Likes don't allow you to leave a comment. They also don't allow you to leave bad feedback/negative rep/dislike. Likes are great for what they do, but they don't serve the purpose of a true reputation system. A reputation system for buying/selling/trading needs to support negative reputation.

If you use the rep system how Ryan mentioned it, for buying/selling/etc., then I think it would be a good addition, but not if it replaces the Likes system (i.e. you give good rep for useful posts). If the two systems serve different purposes, then I think they could each find a place on the forum.

I believe that a reputation system would be a great addition to this forum, IF members don't abuse the system. As Trombones13 giving someone +rep for a useful post and not just giving the +rep for a random reason, then I can see the reputation system being a good replacement for the like system.

I think the likes feature is better than the reputation system - because a rep system is open for abuse.

I had added the reputation system right after I made this thread but there were a few bugs so I removed it and I dont plan to add it anymore.
