Redirection Pages

    Most forum scripts have the "friendly redirect" messages that show when you do something... for example, "Your thread has been posted. Please wait while we redirect you" and such.

    Personally, I find these to be annoying, so I disable them. Do you?

    I agree with you Nick they can be pretty annoying. And I disable them on my forums.
    I just don't really see any need to have thoose.

    I disable them. What are they really for? I never understood why we had the option to begin with.

    I've disabled them for vB. I had them on for a short time five years ago, but the users started complaining more and more vigorously and finally found the option to disable them. Even the description in the Admin CP encourages their removal:

    Then why are they enabled by default, if they recommend you turn it off?!?

    Theyre awful, even the logging in redirection I loathe!

    To be honest I can't remember ever seeing this option in vB? Where is it in the admincp?

    AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> Cookies and HTTP Header Options -> Remove Redirection Message Pages

    Ah, seems I already removed the redirection message pages; I must have forgotten about that option. (was thinking it would disable the few that remain.)
