This hack is kind-of used at another Admin site.

I think it's a nice hack, but like you, I don't see the "use" for it.

Ya I know adx has been using it for a while and they seem to like it.
I could see how it might successfully used on a niche type forum if the icons could be customized?

With the right amount of options and not going overkill on how many there is available, I think it is quite a nice plugin. But...For now the standard likes system serves it's purpose

That's sort of been my thinking as well.
I'm not sure if you can limit the options but to me just having a "like" or "thanks" option to prevent the short post of "I agree with you" or a "thanks".
I don't want to take all options of posting away on the forum. This may hurt you more then helping if you have members that would rather just click a button verses taking 5 minutes and typing out a decent reply explaining why they may or may not agree with the poster.

Well, it looks like you can add/edit/delete them as you please and I'd personally take out all the silly & negative ones and leave ones related to the community such as: thanks, like, informative, etc.

I'm guessing the new system probably wouldn't work with tapatalk though? :(

I wouldn't think so, I know the xenforo "likes" do work with tapatalk.

I seen this mod a couple of places and thought it was overkill. You really don't want to give members an easy out (excuses not to post). I can see it working well with a younger audience though like a gaming forum.

People don't always like posts because they 'like' it. Sometimes it's funny or just an acknowledgment, etc.

I agree, it seems like a very useless feature. The like button is as far the best one there is. No need for a thanks, dislike or funny option.

Before switching over to IPB, i used it on my largest forum that was on XF.

The members loved it(I run a site geared towards teens :P) and it is slightly silly but it is fun and more unique then simply clicking Like/thanks.

I enjoy it. They missed that feature on IPB but the members made do with a simple like button.

It's one of my favorite XF mods.

I think is m0d is pointless, because every post doesn't need to be rated, only ratings for the actual thread I think is good.

It's one of the best modifications ever. If you don't like it, you need to stop thinking about what you like and think about what your members would like.

I've been visiting a site with this mod installed. It's too much work for the end user maybe once I get used to it will be a little different but I find myself having to mouseover the little icons to see what they all mean then think about selecting the most appropriate 'like'.

I'd rather just hit like and be done with it.

Hey my members like the chatbox above the top of the forum. I took it away because I didn't like it so don't think I'm judging. I don't even follow my own advice.

I'd like to bump this, I'm considering add this to our forum. I see it's been actively developed and I like some of the additions that have been added since I first talked about it.
I'm not sure if the "like" system will still work with tapatalk, I use this a LOT from my phone and wouldn't want to lose that function.
Has anyone had experience with this mod and getting it to work on mobile platforms?

    Thanks
