    You mean JavaScript!! ;)

    Java != JavaScript! :P

    ps. if you store JavaScript in a file, it gets cached by the browser, and hence compression isn't really required then.
    more useful (instead of obfuscation) would be JavaScript encryption, which isn't supported by all browsers (I know for sure only that IE supports it, I used it before).
