Not sure how to describe this feature

I think this may be one of those features that you have to see to understand.

Basically, it's an icon that shows you threads you've previously posted to.

The only place I've seen it done is on [H]ardOCP's forums, and they use Vbulletin, so I don't know if such a feature could be implemented in UBB, but I think it's a great idea.

I'll try to describe it briefly: Once you've posted to a particular thread, when you return, the small folder icon to the left of the thread would be different to connote that you've previously posted within that thread.
Instead of having a blue folder for an old thread, or a green folder for a thread containing new posts, we could possibly have a yellow folder.
The way [H] is doing it, they use envelopes instead of folders, and they use a grey closed envelope for old threads, a red closed envelope for a thread with new posts, and a yellow open envelope with a sheet of paper coming out for a thread to which you've previously posted.

Any thoughts?

Yeah, mj... VBulletin handles new posts differently. They put little arrows next to threads that have new posts since your last visit.
I've been seeing that pop up on non-VB boards as well, so that might be an idea as well...

I know exactly what you're talking about.

I'll keep this in mind. Depending on what our final choice is regarding forum software, this should be easy enough to implement.
