New vB Skin for Semi-Auto Rifles!

I just had a New custom skin designed an installed on the site. So for anyone interested check it out and see what you all think.

I like it!

I generally don't like skins that are that dark, but to me it was executed quite well.

 

Looks good to me, I agree, Im usually not one for dark skins but it does work great.

Looks pretty good, a lot better than the old one and conveys a "gun" look. I'd change the category titles are displayed, there isn't much distinction, and the grey color on black is hard to read.

I think the text color should be changed, but otherwise, looks better.

I personally cannot read the greyish text on the grey backgrounds. Not enough contrast. Other people who suffer mild color-blindness and color-shift vision would probably have similar problems. I had to copy and paste your left column navigation into a text editor just so I could read it.

At this point, if I were a member of your site suffering the same vision problems, I would probably abandon my membership and go to another site.

Ray, I cannot figure out if I like your new skin or not. Clearly most aspects look great, but looking at the main list of forums and a few other places is a little hard to read the text.

 

Ya, the banner is a little dark for my desk top but it's perfect on my laptop. If you think that one is dark, you should see the other skin I have for it...it's all black with blue text.

 

Dark? Maybe you should adjust the brightness of your comp. In both my desktop and laptop the banner seems fine and readable.

Lookin' good

I did notice that there isn't a "forum" button/link in the navigation bar though. On the side navigation bits I noticed it, but not on the main bar at the top. Might want to look into that so folks can explore the site a bit more.

 

I personally wouldn't of paid $1.00 for that skin. It's that bad.

- To many gradients
- Hard to read the text in areas
- Doesn't look professional at all (at least to me)
- Go show it off over on DesignersTalk.com, that'll get you some real good comments lol.

 

And you can make a header image that looks like a gun? Awesome, I would like see it.

The skin fits right in their niche. A skin does NOT have to be professional, it has to CONVEY your niche, that's the point, pretty much; if your niche is professional, then you need a skin that conveys professionalism, if your niche is gaming but you'd like to keep it professional gaming with tournaments, then you will get a professional looking gaming skin. There are parts in which I don't like the gradients used, but overall the skin looks okay.

=\ If you think everything should be professional then where the hell does creativity go?

Ps: designerstalk forum skin is boring, far from creative.
