    Hello Addicts,

As you all know, we have been experiencing some excruciatingly slow speed issues. Things are taking minutes to load and it's just unbearable for most of us.

We have obtained the .net version of our domain and will be temporarily migrating to that domain on a brand-new VPS. Obviously this will remedy our speed issues and things should be much better.

This requires no adjustment on your end. When the transition is complete, all requests will be automatically redirected to the proper domain.

Just know that we will be closing the board as we make this transition - which will be sometime within the next few hours.

Thank you for your cooperation and be sure to let us know if you have any questions.

As always, we can be contacted via e-mail at information [at] adminaddict.com

Sounds good; I am happy to know that we may be able to use the forums without it crashing or otherwise going slow. :)

    Thanks for the update.

How long will the board be down, exactly?

From past experiences, I'd say not much more than thirty minutes, if at all. But who knows what obstacles and challenges we will face in the process.

I'm sure Chris could give you a better estimate though. :)

As Nick mentioned, this transition should take no longer than thirty minutes. Depending on the level of accessibility that we have to the existing server during the transition process, it may take up to an hour.

    Okay.

Within that hour, I can catch up on other sites. Great. :)
