Does anyone have an extra IPB license that they could lend me for a few days so I can import my XF board to IPB then to vB?

I'm willing to part with a few bucks for your troubles.

I'd probably only need it for one day but am saying 3 just to be safe.

    Thanks,
    Dan

I asked the same question at xenForo, but because this is "illegal," my thread was closed and moved.

What I wanted to do was merge two XF databases so XF > IPB > XF would have to be the route.

    Why is it illegal?

I dunno, it's what I've been told by Mr. Brogan before he left.

He told me it's illegal on the part of IPB.

ah, ya I could see that but if it wasn't accessible and was only used for an import, I don't see any real issues.

Want to do it on my server?

If you do I'll setup IPB with converters and you can run it on my server.

I was thinking the same as well. I could go to AdminAddict[in the am] and send him a PM about this incase he forgot or something. He seems like a good guy to me, and having faith in others is the best.

It was based on your whistle smiley use. Sounded like a fallout.

It looks like I won't have to use IPB after all. @ragtek just posted a patch on vB.org that makes the converter work for me!

I'm pumped that I'm going to be able to retain private messages and won't have to fork over $175 to IPB.

I find that IPB is better if you want to create a hell of a lot of discussion topics. VBulletin is more for all the fun stuff and Xenforo is for that something inbetween IPB and vBulletin
