This has been happening to me ever since I joined the soup. If I am making a post or replying and it's long, or if I am idle on the site for a little while I will get logged off for no reason. Why is this happening?

    Hey,

That doesn't sound too good! Wow ever since you've been a member back in October? Let's see if we can figure this out...

    First a little background info..

    What browser are you using?
    What version is your browser?
Clearing cookies doesn't make this problem go away?
When was the last time you ran windowsupdate?
Are you on other sites (running vbulletin software) where this never occurs?
Any idea the length of time it takes to log you out? 5 minutes? 15 minutes?

We'll get to the bottom of this. We don't want you to have to go through this horror.

    Anyone else get this problem?

-I have not updated my browser since I remember having it for
-When I log out (supposedly clears cookies) it still happens
-there are no other sites that I go to that I know that use vbulletin software

In ya User CP go into Edit Options and just change what you have "Browse Board with Cookies" set to. if no select yes and vise versa.

    Hey. :)

Yeah give Shady's suggestion a try as your next step and see what happens?

In Netscape I believe you have to go into options to delete all cookies, however I haven't used it in quite some time. Make sure you clear those cookies too! Then next time you login hopefully things will stick... I'll check all your options myself to make sure it looks properly on our end as well!

Your problem should now be resolved. :D

You won't have to edit your options, though clearing your cookies still ain't a bad idea if you've had them for so long.

It should all work now, your 'remember username and password' setting was turned off.

Thanks Alien! :D I'll take Shady's suggestion and go into the computer options and delete the cookies, because I don't think that niether me or mom has done that. Thanks again! I already notice a difference!
