Is Everyone Out Shopping?

Wow...it's so dead here today! Is everyone out shopping on Black Friday?

We decided to skip it today, but I have ordered a few things online.

Oh, were all Walmarts open 24 hours today? The one closest to home ordinarily closes at 10pm, but they were open all night last night.

Their sales didn't start until 5am, but they were preventing what happened last year with stampeding customers by allowing them to come into the store at any time last night and this morning.

Smart move.

 

We aren't going out shopping other than to pick up our Christmas tree

 

It's not only here. My site and a few I monitor are also dead today. Yesterday was a record breaker for lack of activity as well.

 

Most of the sites, including FB and others, are pretty dead. Twitter isn't tweeting much either.

I did get up and go to Radio Shack for the laptop I wanted realllllyyyyy bad. Gone. Within a 1/2 hr of opening.

Hopefully it'll be on sale again soon.

 

I'm not going shopping either. It's not only here that's slow today. I wonder how long everyone's activity will be slow for today.

 

We've had some slow days over the last week at WDBoards.com as well.

Folks are doing their shopping, I guess :shrug:

 

our forums are slow too, wonder where everyone is. my sister and her friend went out shopping, but i have no money

 

The traffic has slowed to a crawl on my forum as well. I actually took a trip out to pick up some food and every shopping strip in town was packed! Anyhow, It's also hunting season which has an effect on my niche.

 

Uhhh, I just woke up...

 

Yeah, Wal-Mart was open all 24 hours; definitely a smart move.

I haven't been out shopping all day; I've been sleeping. I camped out at Best Buy from 8pm last night, got home at 7am this morning. I'll post the details in my "thoughts on this laptop" thread.

 

I had pancakes, bacon, and sausage for breakfast.

Then went out to chainsaw up some dropped trees and split it all for the fireplace use for my FIL.

Visited some family friends (her friends ).

Came home to watch the Tale of Desperaux (whack movie that I won't let me kids watch again )

Chillin' now getting caught up here.

So no on the shopping, but totally offline.

 

I'm still waiting............. :shrug:

 

Christmas eve not a day before. Like I have done for the past many years.
