If adsense was never created

Let's say adsense never came out and never took the net by storm - where would you be today? Did you ever rely on adsense for your source of income?

Personally, I think I would of tried my best with other ad networks or try to monetize better without it, but I'm not sure.

I relied on it briefly. Pennies don't add up that fast. If I lost Adsense tomorrow, I wouldn't bat an eye.
