Okay, Hate is not a word that I use very often. In fact I will use it less than the seven cusswords banned from television. Look up Dennis Leary if you want to know what they are. Anyway, I fill that hate is the most evil word in our vocabulary.

However I am thinking that hate is too soft for HTML tables used for layout. I am really not liking them at the moment. They are heavy, obtrusive and difficult to modify. Changing them can dramatically affect the draw time of your site. And yet they are needed in vBulletin unless you rewrite each and every one of the 519 templates (with Blog and Project Tools installed).

Really not getting in this groove and sorry but I had to vent a little. Back to your regularly scheduled program.

Just thought I'd mention that I love the Dennis Leary reference.

Hate is not too strong of a word in this case Wayne. They're necessary evil, unfortunately.

Dennis Leary? Wasn't it George Carlin that did that bit? Maybe Leary did it after him. :)

Maybe Dennis Leary borrowed. I just remember him doing it in an HBO special. Haven't seen all of Carlin's bits.

Is it true that vB4 will have more CSS-based design rather than tables? I haven't read too much about it at this point, but remember hearing something about that.

Very good. Looks like you're going to have some fun designing with vB 4.0 :D

That's gonna be a great step forward.

This could mean that even I could have a shot at designing something. :D

I'm relieved to see that the new default template looks really nice. In fact I probably wouldn't mind leaving a few forums running the default. (I can't stand the current default!)
