I tried uploading a new default avatar in my IPB theme, but it still uses the same default avatar that comes with IPB. I want all my users to have a custom default avatar that is designed for my forum.

How do I replace the default avatar on IPB with my own?

For some reason, it says your default avatars are at a site called 'http://i2.wp.com/'. Hence while this displays as the default:

    ai2.wp.com_www.thepokertalk.com_public_style_images_tctc91_unlimited_profile_default_large.png

If you remove the 'i2.wp.com' bit though, your custom default avatar appears:

    .

So search the templates for 'i2.wp.com' and remove it from any templates it's in. My guess is that whoever made the theme forgot to replace the images hosted on their own server/website with the ones used for your website.

Okay, so apparently it may have something to do with gravatars. Disable those, and it'll use the local default avatar image.
