Topic title says it all. For some reason, this is one of my favorite questions in interview threads, but it's almost better for an actual topic by itself more than anything. But how long have you been visiting forums in general? Not making them, just visiting them.

I have actually been visiting forums since 2007.

I starting foruming around 2007 also, when my gaming clan created its website which was a forum. At first I was confused, but then I got used to it and enjoyed it, soon I started going on other forums as well, then started my first one in 2008.

I start surfing forum about six months ago. In past years, I had created cms websites without successful. The most difficult part is putting content.

After surfing the forum for some reason, I found people like to express them ideas rather read someone's else. Forums are full of members. Some forum even have tens of post per day. I start to explore forum and begin my first forum.

Yes indeed. Just be real focused on your forum, and it will be real successful.

Well, so far, I'm the old timer. Someone may come along and bump me but for now I have the honor. I've been reading/participating in forums since 1996. I created my own in 2005 when our group finally lost it's last home.

Started foruming in late 2007. It was sports forum and then I went off forum for a year. Came back in '08 and forum for a while with all kinds of forums. Now in 2010 when I got banned from a forum I was on for 2 years. I got fed up and had a Idea to start my own forum. I thought to make a forum you had to have some sort of special privilege. Found out you could. Made one with forumotion because it was the first thing that came up when I googled "Make a forum". Made a pretty crappy one. Learned I needed to get promotion for my forum to get members. So I headed up to forum promotion com and found some really cool forums. Which were better then mine. Long story short I finally ended up here.

Actually I don't even know if you could really count the first forum I joined up with a "forum" as when I joined up in 2007 it was basically a message board where you didn't have to register, topics dropped down after so many days without a response, and you had to be quick like a bunny to catch a PM you got from someone, as those too disappeared with so many days of being ignored, or not having been even glanced at. This was in January. Then, a few months down the road, the administrator got tired of all these people posing as the singers the board was about, so they got the last available version of PHPBB 2.0.x. The first real forum, next to that one, that I joined was actually Forum Advertiser in the middle of 2008. My first host was Forumotion and I had nothing but a crappy experience with them. They seemed to think that Friday nights were the best time to do pointless updates, so we were down from late Friday afternoon to sometime on Saturday or even Sunday afternoon. I'll never forget it: All these PMs and emails of, "why do we keep going offline every weekend? I wanted to come on and post but we were down!" I had a problem explaining that the downtime wasn't my fault, which it most definetly wasn't. I have quite the long history as a forum owner, so it would make a long post to say everything in detail.

The recent and most active forum I started is due to the other forum can't meet my need. The moderator use offensive language. I start up a forum in 24 hours.
