How do you remove the 'new' posts piece of the forum home like on DailySportsPages.com? They simply have the image of the team that the forum is about and that's the style that I want to use for my next side project.

Can someone do a quick step by step on this?

They are actually still using new/no-new post indicators. What they are doing is using the "Prefix for Forum Status Images" setting that you can adjust for each forum.

This allows you to use custom indicators for each forum. So in their case, for the Arizona Diamondbacks forum they used the prefix "diamondbacks" and uploaded icons named diamondbacks_forum_old.gif and diamondbacks_forum_new.gif. By specifying this prefix, that forum uses the custom indicator icons instead of the default forum_new.gif and forum_old.gif icons.

This is the no-new posts indicator: . (http://www.dailysportspages.com/forums/images/blaze/icons/mlb/diamondbacks_forum_old.gif)
And this is the new posts indicator: . (http://www.dailysportspages.com/forums/images/blaze/icons/mlb/diamondbacks_forum_old.gif)

Oh, how silly of me! I used the same thing for GlamRockTalk.com as well! Sheesh.

I should've recognized that. What I did was just use the same image for both the "on" and "off" and it seems like a static image.

Thanks for the reminder, Nick! :)
