How do you get people to post their own news/events?

As part of getting relevant content on my forum, I've been posting events and news articles from various groups and non-profit companies. Representatives of some of them have created accounts and been hanging around, but even after asking them giving them the power to add things to the calendar and asking them to post their own news, they've gotten so used to me doing it that. Just today one emailed me a whole slew of workshops to go on the calendar. They know I'll keep doing it as a public service, but is there any way short of throwing a hissy fit to get them to pitch in a little?

Yeah, but your members don't expect you to post their announcements for them :)

^^;; We didn't have it at first. Members went to us to make their threads and such, but later on because we are not able to get on as much as they want us to be we created the section.

There's already an events section, so they can't use that excuse.
