What do you think makes a successful forum? How do you define success?
I think that a forum is successful when it becomes not a forum, but a fun community of friends. A group of people who welcomes a newbie in without a second thought. A forum that a person can go to and talk to the people there when they are having a bad day and the people will make them feel better. When everyone is having fun.
That is how I define a forums success.
that you get a good amount of active members and a good amount of daily traffic to your forum.
I think that it is when the members are happy to be there.. and are willing to stick around.
I define a forum success looking at the activity, its not important to me of the forum is earning good or not. If the forum is active, members are happy then I think its a successful forum.
I'm perfectly agree with this.
it's not about the size, it's about the activity. when members are active there, even though there's not a lot of members, as long as everyone can have fun and enjoy their stay, it's good enough for me. ^^
Well if there are many active members who are happy and continue to post then I believe that that is success. But not only that but when you develop relationships with other members is what makes a truly good forum.
sucess is when theres like 1 million members etc
