I agree, becoming friends with them and networking them is a great way to have them join your site. Twitter is a great tool if used appropriately.

ForumPromotion - Great tool with posts, and you can get some dedicated members from there
AdminBB - Great forum to advertise your sites/forums with, Dedicated members from here aswell
PostLoop - Great to get more posts

Those 3 options are nice - ForumPromotion is a great way to talk about your forum, and also use their points to get people to post on your community.

Postloop is good as well, but you have to put in some effort for the exchange to work in your favor.

I agree. But Postloop is worth it though if you are really lacking activity.

Or you can find 3 people and do a post exchange that way - like a 3 way exchange, post 20 times, get 20 in return. You never know what you'll get out of Postloops' system.

You're right, and in your case, you got more out of Postloop than you put in ;)

    Most forum owners do

Yeah, Postloop seems to be good, though you have to watch because some people will murder your forums points. Also, you have to watch out for the "dependency" issue because if you rely too much on it, your forums will be stuck in a state of post exchanges.

Well said, yea you cant depend on it... or your forum wont go anywhere but is a great tool for an extra boost. I recommend it.
