"Hot Threads" or "Popular Threads"

    Some forums have a "hot thread" or "popular thread" feature that will give a thread icon a different color if it is viewed or reply to a certain amount of times.

    Do you usually enable this, disable it, or don't really care? What about on forums you visit (not your own) - do you like the feature, or not really care?

    I really don't care, but I my forum has them enabled. I'm not sure how to adjust that setting actually.


    I believe there are a few threads on AA that qualify though!

    You can disable that? I've always liked it. Those threads catch my attention first. Or any thread with more than 4-5 pages.

    Thanks for the input. I was considering disabling it here, but it's not a good idea if it is used by anybody. :)

    ive always had that enabled, after about 50 posts

    I very rarely ever notice if a thread is "hot/popular" or not according to the icon. I pay more attention to how many pages, replies, and views it has if I want to decide if it'll be a good (for lack of a better word) thread or not before I click into it.
