Help raise donations for Haiti relief!

TEXT: Haiti to 90999 on your cell phone . When you send the text, you will get a reply back that asks you if you will accept. Then text back "yes". $10.00 will be deducted from your cell phone acct to be donated to the RedCross International Fund.

Can you IMAGINE how much we could all raise???

I think GoDaddy donated 500k USD too.

And Briton in the UK donated 2million GBP, Not sure if that's true but its said it on my ISP homepage so i assume it is.

 

I've also made my donation using Red Cross. Any amount is helpful for the effort over there.

 

While what Peggy posted is reliable it can take weeks or even months before your $10 is sent to the Red Cross. The money is not sent until after you have paid the bill it appears on. Source Haitian Earthquake Victims Get Aid From Texters - WSJ.com

 

I donated $25 and David Blaine took a picture with me, gave me two autographs, and did a magic trick for me. Shit scared me, but it was the best $25 I have spent.

 

There are also several relief efforts on Facebook.

If you play games such as FarmVille, PetVille, YoVille - the makers of these games, Zynga (Zynga.org - Welcome) have set up a relief fund for Haiti. They've raised quite a bit of $ already. It's quite impressive.

You guys can also put the widget on your sites if you like. I just chose them b/c I knew where exactly it was going.
