Hello everyone, welcome to the forums

well I might as well start this off with my intro
my name is Brandon as my username shows
I've been building/running forums for a few years, so I thought I would give a "general forum" a try.

I purchased a 2500 post DB/Site today that will hopefully be merged tonight

it's merged, I'll have to wait for leo to go to bed to bring the forums and threads out in public.

I also made a small forum for the "Registered" users, who haven't been udgraded to the contributors yet, you all can't see it though

I've been talking to a site owner about merging his general forums with us, it has 16,000 threads and over 100,000 post!
We might have it merged by next week

I've already started building the links up as well, so once we open, we should get fully indexed within a few weeks

 

General forums are always a tough thing to succeed with, I think. But, then again I've seen some of the biggest vBulletin sites had a 'general' portion to them. So, good luck with the site Brandon!
