I'm going to leave it alone and let some other person get pissed off by this guy's attitude. His e-mails to me were condescending enough... I mean, if you talk to a corporation with that "I will sell my site to a real corporation." comment, you end up losing that person. I was ready to pay the guy 3,000 all I have to do is ask for a loan. That's it. I have a business plan ready and is already in the hands of an accountant. All I need is to hear her comments and then I'm going to a loan officer or investor.

The guy thinks I can't get investors. I already did 2 years ago, all it would take is a simple phone call and I'm in business.

We got a few competitors in our niche, one of them has over 4 million posts. It's going to be extremely hard to becoming the #1 forum in my niche, but I am confident that I can accomplish this over time because I have a plan to achieve this goal.

Wow only 28k and open since 09? That's pretty sad, my site has 32k and counting and we've been open since 2010....we just turned a year old this past october...to answer your question, yes my site has plenty of competitors but my site is more active then both of these competitors, combined. :P

Yes, it does. Not directly AFAIK, but some forums have topics related.

Gotta love that. You must promote your forum so much! I bet those competitors are always left wondering how your community is so successful.

Yup, and contests usually help that activity, but I agree, all forums on the net could use more activity. I wonder how many people are using twitter/facebook to help get more posts on threads and such.
