Digital point limits number of links in signatures

Shawn over at digital point has limited the number of links in signatures to 2. Unless your a paid member then you can have 4 links.

The plan was to go nofollow first, but he was talked out of that.

I had 3 links in my signature, so I lost a pretty good bit of links to my wifes forum.

Maybe this will help with all the spammers and losers at DP
They should of made this move a long time ago IMHO

 

Its about like vbulletin.org going to 2 links awhile back. A lot of the members did not like it either. But oh well. Hopefully this will make DP a better place in the long run.

 

I generally don't care how many links people put in their sigs on my forums, but I do tend to limit it to 4, because otherwise they tend to go nuts.

 

I think 2 or 3 is a good limit. 4 and over seems to clutter things up too much.

On one webmaster forum I "sometimes" visit, some of the members there have 8 and 9 links in their signature. Now that just looks tacky.
