Another update on vB.com - CMS?

Looks like they're making some updates right now. The board is closed:

Perhaps they are making use of the CMS.

 

Rumor has it they are slipping IPB in place... :lol:

Let's hope it's the CMS. It'd be awesome if it was something like a massive style change to some super brilliant new secret forum style.

must be considering the page it links to is in the forum directory called content.php

This should be interesting, wonder how much rage this is going to stir up if its a flop.

My bets an hour and a half I noticed that content.php so it is 99% the CMS.

 

they've also made style changes. There is more spacing in the header area finally (look around logo and navbars)

 

The buttons just changed as well...

Not sure I like the way the selected item stands a few px taller. I'd rather see a color change than that physically larger button.

 

Yeah I never actually noticed that, the logo used to butt up to the left edge, you would think theyd use a little margin instead of the space/blank part of the image. I am quite sure the logo has been changed completely too.

 

Seems smaller, and that little glow at the top, was that originally there?

 

Same here, Though that is a relatively simple adjustment pending thy decide to keep it this way.

 

Wait..the buttons wne back to previous. I like them even less with that single band of color above the row for a selected button. To me it's sloppy.

 

I realize all of this is customizable as we see fit if we use 4.0. However it's loads of fun to do this play by play instead of doing the product phrasing changes documentation I should be doing.

 

They *really* need to get the boxes back round the error messages...that "board closed" message is a good example. They can't possibly be planning to leave them like...can they? It must be such a simple change yet they keep not changing it.

 

The glow behind the logo im certain wasnt there too. It does look better.

 

Yeah, the logo has some more contrast in the lettering, and some glow in the upper-center.

 

Is that search box on the far right new or was I just blind before?
