I'll be adding the blogs back soon and importing the data we had from general-forums asap.
This thread is a bit of a reminder for me.

I see there is an update to the blogs and I figure what a better time to reinstall it then now.

It has been over 7 months since all efforts have been directed toward the new version of the Blog. After toiling away from the public eye rewriting the add-on from scratch, we are happy to share some of what's new since the last update, big and small, in no specific order:

Member Blogs (entries are now organized by blogs, not users)

Mark-read functionality similar to threads

Categories

Blog entry drafts and the ability to publish drafts at a future date

Nested comments

Revamped interface to improve user interaction

Spam Cleaner integration

RSS feed available for all blogs or a specific member blog

Blog entry ratings

Entry views are now counted

Privacy settings for member blogs and entries, allowing users to control who sees their entries

Multi-author support, allowing multiple users to work on the same entry or post to the same member blog

Ignored user support

There's still a number of unlisted features and enhancements not listed here that you will find once Blog 1.1 is available for download.

Introducing Core
Core is our internal framework on which our add-ons are built on, decreasing the amount of redundant templates, phrases, and code. This allows for faster development and a base to ensure all design and functionality are consistent between our add-ons and XenForo.

This framework requires no additional action to install and upgrade on behalf of the customer; there are no extra steps. Core will be included in most of our add-ons and will be managed in the background any time you upgrade or install an add-on, hassle-free.

New and Existing Customers
To help celebrate this achievement, any Blog licenses purchased before Tuesday, February 12 will have their support and download access extended for an additional 7 months from their purchase date.

Finally...
The release date for Blog 1.1.0 Beta 1 is Wednesday, February 13. We thank you for your patience and hope the wait has been well-worth it. There is much in store around the corner this year, and this is just the start.
