I think a seti@home forum fits the motif, here.

Sure there would, i.e., different ways to optimize performance of the seti clients, perfomance of different OS's, likelyhood of finding anything, complaining about the server not serving up WUs in a timely manner, seti client utilities, etc. There are currently two USENET groups (that I'm aware of) that get a couple of hundred messages per day though I'm sure many are cross posts to both groups.

Wouldn't 75% of that stuff already fall under the realm of General Tech?

    i'd have to agree
we could always talk about it under general tech or something
prolly not enough to create a whole forum .
