A new general chat forum

I tried to register this morning, but it's close for registrations still

At any rate, I agree that it doesn't take that long to get a forum up and running. Especially when you find a custom skin out there (there are some cool free ones that you can add some spice to and look even better) and do the mods. I've had a forum running in about a half day.

Yep. I'll open it up on the 15th. It will be pretty much complete this Tuesday, but I'm waiting til the 15th because I'm having minor surgery this Wednesday, and won't be able to be at my computer too awfully much. Then I work on Friday and Saturday nights, and have to sleep during the day on Saturday and Sunday, so the weekend is pretty much shot, too.

SO Monday the 15th it is.

Also, the forums look superb (I just left a visitor message saying so) - the skin is wonderful. Very easy on the eyes and a wonderful color scheme.

Thanks guys! On my last check up, a few skin "abnormalities" were discovered, so they have to be removed and sent for biopsies. 3 on my back and one on my hip, so I'm not going to feel like sitting too awfully much

I've spend the past 2 hours adding smilies to my forum.
I'm sure that I have at least another hour to go, but I'm saving it for tomorrow, lol.

I couldn't tell you how much time I have spent organizing my ~300 smilies into 15 categories. It can get messy; I've learned to always sort them from the beginning and not wait until you have them all installed. :doh: :lol:

 

yep mine are all in categories on my zip drive. I just have so MANY of them, lol.

 

Good luck with your surgery! If you have a laptop, look into getting a Laidback Laptop table, it might enable you to keep getting your AdminAddicts fix

I'd definitely try and get some content going, Peggy. Perhaps invite a few friends, colleagues, etc. and get some nice discussions going. It will make your site more appealing and attractive come launch day.
