delete account

does anybody know how to delete this account?
I've been looking, but I can't find a "delete account" button anywhere...

 

Simple, its on the screen. It's called "Log out".

 

We do not delete accounts upon user request.

That is correct.
You can change the email and forget your pass if you wish.

 

Thats an odd request on a forum admin website. Does any forum software have functionality to let users delete their account?

 

Some do if you configure it to allow this. There's also a modification for some software, phpBB 3 has this:

I think Yabb, SMF and Proboards let you do this as an option.

 

vBulletin 4 you can do it right through the admin CP.

 

I think most allow deletion that way, but the op was asking to delete it himself.

 

Ya, that's not possible in XF or vBulletin. I don't see the point of signing up, then requesting to delete the account. What's the point of even making an account?

 

Maybe they were from a merged site? Idk

Most sites adopt a similar rule. Personally if I stop using a site, instead of asking to delete the account I just make sure I change my mail preferences so that I never receive any emails from it.

 

All I do is if somebody asks for their account to be deleted I just give them a permaban but colour code it.
