I've been looking to expand my horizons so to speak. I already know the vBulletin and XenForo side of things. IPB is the only area where I'm lacking in the popular paid forum software arena. I've moved a couple of IP boards between hosts but that wasn't a huge deal; Dump database, import database, copy files, update config file, and done.

Are there any hidden gotchas when buying a license? If I dropped $175 on a license today would I get version 4 when it comes out? Stuff...
