The pages are loading much faster since I commented out the social badges, I'll have to think of a way to enable them without losing any speed.
I just went down a few options in the backend that we really didn't need or use to help increase load time.

I haven't ran the site against any website speed checking sites yet, I have a few things we can tweak then I'll test it.

Are they loading scripts off site? Put the script on your server.

That was my thought last night as I was trying to go to bed.
The only issue with that is if I want the badges to include the count, they have to be hosted off the SM site afaik.

Yeah everything is pulled through the other site. I don't think there is any way to achieve the count otherwise.

What badge count are you talking about? Maybe can find a workaround. :) And I also noticed it loads slow when you add www. to the forum and then it 301s it without...It kinda loads slow. How are you doing that?

You could always forget about the counts and just load static images with a dynamic link. I know you like the counts but if slows down page load that's a bummer.

I've enabled the facebook and twitter badges, we'll see how the page load goes
the stumbleupon one seems to kill the site :( which really blows because the site can get crazy stumble traffic.

Nothing here but then again I open all in tabs and jump on to other sites before I come back and read.

Nothing here as well, pages load quickly (1-2 sec.) in Firefox 3.6.12 on Win7 ... full bandwidth on my connection (16 Mbit/sec).

I've tweaked the 3 social bookmarking badges a little, let's see how the site loads now.
    Anyone with issues?

It actually seems a little slow to me today, but it may just be my computer. I'll keep you posted.

Yeah it does seem to be a little slow but I reckon it might be due to the arcade Brandon's put in.

It's not that bad. It's just loads a little slowly at the moment.

I'm sure it's a just a bandwidth or net congestion problem for them.

I'm in effin Germany, which means sea cable or satellite connection, and the page loads snap-crack-hoorah for me! ;)
(but we do have huge internet backbones in Frankfurt, so ... ;) )
