Google now surfaces forum posts and threads in results

I find this to be interesting and wonderful! Forum posts and threads are now listed in results, when they are similar to the query. I think it's great because now users can get multiple results from the same site on their query.

I find that it even lists some forum sections (categories or sub-forums) in the indented results.

This is definitely a plus! :thumbup:

 

I am sure theyve always had the post count from threads for indexed threads unless I have gotten used to it so fast. Its good to see Google bettering searches when it comes to our forums

 

This is great and should really help our communities!

Maybe that's why my WDBoards.com broke our visitor record (had ~26k visitors this month) and our search engine results were up about 5% overall. :shrug:

I noticed it too! I never stopped to see what it was about, but it is definitely one of my favorite useful features already. Just another way that Google is redefining search results expectations.

 

I've noticed that, it's brilliant. it brings up the relevant posts form that site. WONDERFUL!

 

It is really good for all of us... This could help both the forum site and the members.
It's also beneficial for internet marketing.
