    Hi,

I am doing some research for our new and bold project and I hope I am not getting too "personal" with my request for information and I hope some admins will be so kind and oblige my request. It may even be interesting to see what differences there are. I certainly would appreciate any help very much.

My humble request is for admins to fill out the fields below describing their current hosting setups. If you don't know all the answers, no problem. I'll take any information I can get.:)

    CPUs Available:

    CPU Speed:

    Disk Space used:

Payment Terms: (i.e. monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually)

    Cost per Month:

Overall happiness with the hosting (1-10, 10 being very happy):

What is running on this hosting?:(i.e. 2 PHPBB forums and a Wordpress site)

Amount of Gigs in outbound transfer:

If a Database is in use, average number of queries per second:

Number of site admins, server admins (ops) and team members:

Do you feel you are paying for a lot more power than you actually need?:

Thanks to all in advance who help. Again, I really appreciate it.

    Scott

p.s. if the information is too confidential, but you'd like to share it, please do send me the info per private conversation. Thanks!

p.p.s. If you need help with commands to find out your stats, please check this page out.

Also, to get the average queries, use this command.

Thanks PSF. Wow, paid in full? How does that work? And your traffic... could you give me the amount of traffic you actually have in a month? And are you sure traffic is unlimited? I know hosters post that in their pricing, but if you look deep in their terms, traffic always has some kind of limit.

I own the server. That's why it's paid in full.
My traffic for the month: 75,031 Registered Members, 9,416,960 Posts.
Most Registered Members Online Within a 15 Minute Period: 816

As far as the "unlimited" bandwidth is concerned I use a business class cable dedicated IP address.
This is my slow season on that forum.
Come September, I'll have well over 50,000 registered members online daily.
I've exceeded 1TB in daily bandwidth usage several times and have yet to be "capped."
On that basis I assume it truly is unlimited, or only limited by the equipment itself which, according to the cable provider has a 100MBPS connection.

Ah, so your actually colocated. So you must also be paying for the dedicated connection and your limited only by the connection itself?
