This is where having no job really sucks. I'd scoop up a XenForo in a second for a hundred bucks.....

    damn.....

Congrats to all those who were lucky enough to get the new software!

What's so good about this forum software besides the design/layout?

    LOL. Classic.

It works and it acts like a piece of software built in 2010. Very fresh, and very connectible - i.e facebook, etc.

One of the other main things that I like about the software is the developers' modern, fresh style of thinking, and willingness to consider all things. They are very open to customers' feedback and ideas, and seem to really appreciate their community members.

    not much
it's brand new, but made by 3 of the old vb devs
everyone thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread.

I personally did think about picking up a copy, but I'm not really interested in spending any amount of money on a script that's less then 4 months old..

also all the popups and roll over annoy the heck out of me
there is a reason I have popup blockers on my browser, I certainly wouldn't want it on a forum I ran.

When I created our XenForo forum I failed to enable that mod for this section. Thanks for reminding me. :)

    I bought 1 copy of it :D.

    What's so good about XenForo?

I personally like it because it's pretty much everything I've been looking for. My site has members ages 13 to 24 and they have been demanding more social networking type things for years now. Yes this could have been done with vBulletin, MyBB etc but the way it's done in XenForo is just what me and my members are looking for. A clean, easy to use front end with social networking features and a great admincp and moderating tools.

We have one license and intend to buy more, shame we couldnt have picked up some more of them during the sale. The software is great, it might not have everything in there just yet but I am sure it will do soon.
